Type 5 chemical INTEGRATOR indicators change color from LIGHT BLUE to PINK following the correct execution of a steam sterilization cycle.
Chemical indicators, by changing color after sterilization, allow the end user to identify incorrect packaging, loading issues, and sterilization failures.
- Usage:
Indicators are intended for use in the steam sterilization process at a temperature of 121°C, 16.5 minutes, or 135°C, ≥ 3.5 minutes.
Specifications
- The indicator is printed as a rectangle and is sensitive to temperature, time, and steam concentration.
- STRIP, Laminated and Self-adhesive type.
- Laminated with a polymer that prevents the dispersion of the indicator ink upon contact with the environmental factors of the sterilizer.
- After sterilization, the color of the indicator remains stable for a duration of 6 months, under the storage conditions mentioned in the instructions.
- Do not contain lead or other toxic heavy metals, in accordance with European directives.
- The strip contains the following information: the reference color it should turn from light blue to pink, ISO 11140-1 standard, type indicator (type 5), the process in which it is used, batch, manufacturing date, expiration date.
